Expansion of the Muenster site in Germany BEHN + BATES is building a new production hall with adjoining office building

The packing machine specialist BEHN + BATES is building a new production hall with adjoining offices in Germany on the Muenster site of its parent company HAVER & BOECKER. The production and office capacities that are at BEHN + BATES’ disposal at present are exhausted. Therefore, the decision to expand the Muenster site was taken at the end of 2012.

Since 1994 BEHN + BATES has been part of the HAVER Group that employs 2,700 people in own production sites and sales offices all over the world. In the HAVER Group BEHN + BATES with its team of 55 employees has exclusively specialized in the food industry. Its customers are for example cocoa, starch, flour or sugar producers filling their products into bags with filling weights of 1.5 up to 50 kg or big bags of up to 1,500 kg and palletizing the bags afterwards.

The specialisation in the requirements of the food industry (e. g. special hygienic or explosion-proof designs of the machines) is paying off: The order books are full; the existing production hall again and again reaches its capacity limits. Therefore a new production hall and a new office building are urgently needed to handle projects and produce machines according to schedule and customer requirements.

Because of the close alliance with the parent company HAVER & BOECKER the Muenster location has never been questioned. Moreover the planning has focused on strengthening and expanding this site. Another key factor has been the rapid and turnkey realization of the construction works that are under the responsibility of the general construction contractor Goldbeck with headquarters in Bielefeld, Germany. The completion of the construction works is planned for the end of 2013 already.

Once the new buildings will be ready BEHN + BATES will be able to offer an even better customer service as well as further jobs.
