Filling system for granules: Easy handling, high output, excellent weights
Granules & grains - e.g. crystal sugar, rice, corn and seeds - are easy to handle. They have excellent flowing characteristics and do not raise dust. High packing capacities with our filling systems for granules are possible, filled weights are excellent.
For decades our gravity packer has proven its worth as a filling system for granules and grains into valve bags. Equipped with a special open-mouth bag filling spout it is even suitable for filling pre-fabricated open-mouth bags.
Open-mouth bag filling to perfection is reached by our fully automatic systems:
- TOPLINE® for pre-fabricated open-mouth bags
- FFS system for FFS bags made from an endless gusseted film
Profitability, good product protection and long storage times are fundamental demands on quality filling systems - demands that are optimally fulfilled by the tight and compact FFS bag. We offer different FFS systems for the environment-friendly and energy-saving filling of grains & granules. All of them are state-of-the-art. Important factors for the right selection are your product and your requested output:
- BEHN + BATES FFS 600 for lumpy products
(up to 600 bags/h) - BEHN + BATES FFS 1000 for fine grains
(up to 1,000 bags/h) - BEHN + BATES FFS 2000 for bulk materials
(up to 2,000 bags/h)

Valve bag filling technology
A lot of food and animal feed producers choose the valve bag due to its easy handling and its compact bag shape with high advertising impact.
Gravity packer for grains & granules
The product is filled according to the gravity principle either by a curved or by a straight gravity tube - without additional conveying air or mechanical assistance.
Open-mouth bag filling technology
Optimum product protection and improved storage, high advertising impact, flexible filling volumes or simple opening and re-closing of the used bags - all these are convincing features of the open-mouth bag.
Fully automated filling technology
The BEHN + BATES-TOPLINE® 600 and 1200 are used for filling granules & grains into pre-fabricated open-mouth bags.
FFS technology
Food and animal feed products will be packed into plastic bags more frequently in future as each packing company is keen on keeping its packing cost as low as possible. The FFS bag meets this requirement to a special extent.
Big bag filling technology
In the logistics chain big bags are a cost-effective alternative to conventional bags. Of course, they must also allow quick and clean processing - goals that can be easily reached with our big bag filling station GWH.
